Lines were cast off at 08:45. The sails were set in the harbour and Weeki Wachee sailed to Beachy Head. A clonking under the boat was heard due to debris caught on the saildrive. This was cleared by manoeuvring. Then it was discovered that the toilet was overflowing. Norbert closed the sea cocks.

At around 16:00 Eastbourne was reached. Entrance to the harbour was via a lock. After tying up, Derek walked round the marina and enquired at a ship's chandler about spares for the toilet pump. Meanwhile Norbert repaired the pump by replacing the outlet valve rubber.

Dinner on board was an Eintopf.
