The crew returned to the boat by 14:00, with a stop at the co-op on the way, and cast off at 15:00. In three hours of sailing Ramsgate was reached. A very strong cross current was encountered entering the harbour.

The Royal Harbour Brasserie was selected for dinner but the food was indifferent although expensive.  Consequently Bob and Joe needed fish and chips in a quayside cafe as a supplement. The evening was rounded off with a beer in the leather armchairs of a small but comfortable bar, underneath the arches.
