Weeki Wachee left Torquay at 07:00. The sea was rather choppy at first. After breakfast at sea it was possible to sail for a while, but later motor support was needed and finally the sails were dropped and Portland Bill was rounded under motor only. It was a very hot day.

Weeki Wachee arrived at Weymouth at 17:30. Diesel was taken on board in the outer harbour. Weeki Wachee then waited until 18:00 for the town bridge to open and then entered the marina. After dinner on board (chicken in cream sauce), Derek stayed on watch while the rest of the crew went ashore.
