Weeki Wachee moved into the lock at 08:10. As soon as she was out of the harbour the sails were set. Weeki Wachee made steady progress, sailing south all day with a gusty, westerly wind but a mild sea. It was cloudy and cold, however.

At 19:30 Dieppe harbour was entered. The crew made a quick tour round the harbour area in the evening, after dinner of ravioli and Greek salad on board.

Dieppe is an interesting harbour town with an old cathedral with decorated but dilapidated masonry. A castle stands near the seafront with its greensward and promenade.
