17. Dieppe to Fecamp

Derek had a quick walk round Dieppe after showering in the morning.
Customs officers arrived at departure time, inspected all documents thoroughly and made a cursory search of Weeki Wachee. Casting off was thus delayed until 13:00.
Weeki Wachee, motoring in sunshine, against the wind and waves but with the tide, made good speed and arrived at Fecamp at 18:30.
The crew set off to explore the harbour area and found a popular restaurant. A thee-course menu of salade de chèvre chaud, escalope de dinde a la Normandie followed by crepe Fecampoise was good value.
