Weeki Wachee cast off at 10:15, tanked diesel and left harbour. There was very little wind in the bay and, after tacking several times, the sails were dropped and Weeki Wachee motored to Plymouth into a headwind.

A rain shower was encountered along the way, but the weather was fine and sunny as the cruise along the attractive Devon Coast continued. Tying up in Plymouth harbour at about 20:30, the turning point of the journey had been reached.
